Annual Benefits Open Enrollment: September 11 - October 6, 2017

Open Enrollment takes place between Monday, September 11th and Friday, October 6th.  Remember, adding or making changes to your benefits as part of Open Enrollment is an easy online process via the eBenefits module in the CSUN portal.

  • Benefit election changes selected during Open Enrollment become effective January 1, 2018.  
  • For comprehensive instructions and information including an Open Enrollment Guidebook, and to review your plan options and the 2018 premium rates, visit the CSUN Open Enrollment website at Open Enrollment for 2018.

Learn About Employee Assistance Benefits Available to Faculty & Staff | September 12

Come join us for an overview of Life Matters (CSUN's Employee Assistance Program) and the services that can be accessed by employees and their family members, via internet, a 24 hour telephone hotline and or face to face meetings with consultants.

CSUN's Annual Benefits & Wellness Fair | September 20

Join us on Wednesday, September 20th between 9 and 11 am in the Student Recreation Center for our annual Benefits and Wellness Fair!

Benefit Plan representatives as well as several of our internal campus partners will be present to answer your questions.  Join us for free screenings, giveaways, and plenty of information to assist you with your Open Enrollment selections.  You can view an up to date listing of providers and partners that will be in attendance at http://www.csun.edu/benefits/benefits-and-wellness-fair.  We look forward to seeing you there!

We invite you to participate in Walkability Wednesday, leaving the SRC at Noon.  Led by Dr. Shari Tarver-Behring, Interim Dean, Michael D. Eisner College of Education, the walk will feature a discussion of the value of Self Care on campuses as seen in August 2017's Inside Higher Ed, "Toward a Culture of Self Care."

2017 - 2018 University Payroll Calendar Available

The annual University Payroll Calendar is a go-to resource for information on when pay warrants issue, when direct deposit is issued, monthly attendance and pay related processing information, and days that the University is closed for campus holidays!

CalPERS Board of Administration Election

You will be receiving your ballot package from CalPERS for the 2017 Member-at-Large Board Election. The voting deadline is October 2.

The CalPERS Board of Administration is responsible for the management and control of CalPERS. Their decisions directly impact your health care premiums contract with CalPERS for health benefits, your employer’s contribution rates to your CalPERS pension, and where your pension dollars are invested.

Now is your opportunity to help select the candidate who will best represent your views on the Board for the next four years.

Ballots will be mailed September 1, and candidate statements will be available on the Board Elections page of the CalPERS website. A candidate forum will be held September 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the CalPERS Auditorium, 400 P Street, Sacramento. You can watch a live webcast of the forum on the CalPERS website, or attend in person. The webcast also will be posted on the CalPERS website.
