View the Program and Photos of the 51st Annual Staff Service and Recognition of Excellence Awards Event Held May 4

The 51st Annual CSUN Staff Service and Recognition of Excellence Awards Event was held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the University Student Union, Northridge Center.  Approximately 270 employees were honored for collectively providing 3,200 years of service to the University!

You can view the program presentation, photos from the event, and pre-event photoshoot as well as fun photos from the day's photobooth. 2018 Recognition of Excellence Award Nomination Forms will be available and begin to be accepted in January, 2018.  Nominations are due, Thursday, March 15, 2018.

Commit To Be Fit - Summer!

WHO: Commit To Be Fit (CTBF) is a free fitness program for CSUN staff/ faculty and their loved ones, in addition to local residential and business neighbors in Northridge. The program is led by CSUN Kinesiology students, under the supervision of CSUN Kinesiology faculty. The workouts consist of cutting edge and scientifically sound functional cardiovascular and resistance training aimed to get you in shape and help you FEEL YOUR BEST!

WHAT: Recognizing that you work hard and deserve a great health benefit, we created a fun and engaging fitness program. CTBF is designed for all fitness levels and will expand your limits of strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health. Learn how to do activities in new ways— move more quickly, think faster, do what you never thought possible! Improved fitness improves your quality of life and makes your world bigger. 

WHEN: Every Tuesday and Thursday; from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The program begins on June 6th and concludes on August 3rd

WHERE: CSUN campus, Redwood Hall, room 200

* Physician Clearance is required for the following situations:

Take Part in Lunch-Time Express @ The SRC - Mondays & Wednesdays

Mondays and Wednesdays, May 22 through August 16, 2017 - 11:00 am to 1:30 pm

The SRC offers several "Lunch Time Express" group exercises classes to faculty and staff. These classes are free and do not require an SRC membership to participate. Come join SRC members on your lunch break every Monday and Wednesday this Summer (5/22/2017 - 8/16/2017) to pursue your wellness goals. This program is offered as part of the CSUN HR Professional & Personal Development program.

Classes available for this program are indicated by a red sun symbol next to the class name on the SRC group exercise schedule, which can be found at http://www.csun.edu/src/classes/print  


 How to Register for a Group Exercise Class Online:

STEP 1

Log in to your MINDBODY account with your chosen username and password on the SRC MINDBODY Online Portal.
Note: If you do not have a MINDBODY account, you will need to create an account on the SRC MINDBODY Online Portal and purchase a "SRC COMPLIMENTARY SERVICES" package for $0.00 before being able to sign-up for any classes. This package only needs to be purchased once through the lifetime of the account.

STEP 2

Choose a class from the schedule and click the “Sign Up Now” button. Online registration opens one day in advance and will close 10 minutes prior to the class start time. Only in-person registration will be accepted from that point at the Total Training Zone desk.

STEP 3

Pick up a GX class pass at the Total Training Zone desk as early as one hour before prior to your class start time to claim your registered spot.

Note: Failure to claim your pass 10 minutes prior to the class start time will result in you automatically forfeiting your registered spot and you will be required to wait in the stand-by line for potential remaining availability.

Summer Movie Fest

Associated Students Productions would like to invite all students, staff, faculty, and friends for a series of screenings on the Oviatt Library Lawn. With a wide range of comedy, horror, and drama the Summer Movie Fest has something for viewers of all ages to enjoy.

Children's Swim Lessons (Summer)

These specially designed lessons are available to the children, grandchildren and dependents of SRC members over the summer. We offer classes for little ones of every swimming ability. All swimming lessons at the SRC are taught utilizing the American Red Cross guidelines and teaching techniques.
