Kinesiology: Dance Minor
The Dance Minor is designed to provide a basis for dance experience and potential employment opportunities in the field of performance, choreography and teaching.
Two options can be selected within the Dance Minor:
- Dance Pedagogy will focus on acquiring the necessary skills needed to teach dance within school settings.
- Dance Performance will focus on acquiring the necessary skills to enhance technical facility as a dancer and to choreograph and mount new works for stage, film and/or television.
The completion of 21 units fulfills the requirements of a Dance Minor, with specific units designated for either the Dance
Pedagogy or Dance Performance options. Advisors in the department of Kinesiology are available for student consultation.
