The Center for Health Promotion, research, and Ethics is located within the Department of Health Science at California State University, Northridge. The purposes of the Center for Health Promotion, Research, and Ethics shall be to bring together faculty with interest or expertise in the health sciences and health ethics to facilitate research and related community-service projects. It is anticipated that The Center will l) open avenues of cooperation and scholarly activities among faculty across the University with similar interests, 2) provide opportunities for professional growth of the faculty and their students, and 3) provide benefits to the larger community served by the University.
The function of The Center shall be to facilitate, manage, and direct grants and contracts, workshops and seminars with specific emphasis on health promotion and research, health ethics, and related community-service projects. The Center shall interact actively with established academic and non-academic areas on campus, and with business, organizations and associations off-campus to create innovative activities
