CSUN Fashion Show Winner: Designs on Display at Bloomingdales

The TRENDS Student Fashion Show each spring is always a great opportunity for our students to make CSUN shine. They design and create each garment, audition and hire the models, and produce the show from start to finish.

This year's first prize winner, Amparo Maru, received the honor of having her collection displayed for two weeks in November in-store at Bloomingdales, Sherman Oaks. Take a look at Amparo Maru's intriguing designs.

Passion for Dance Leads to a Kennedy Center Performance

Dance is more than just movement for Kinesiology senior and dancer Tharini Shanmugarajah. For her, it’s an art form that communicates emotion, translates ideas, crosses cultural divides and creates community.

Tharini's passion for dance led her to CSUN and next summer it will will take her to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., where she will join other dancers in a special performance of Indian classical dancing known as Bharatanatyam.

We are proud of our students, and how gracefully they make CSUN Shine. Read more in CSUN Today.
