Lessons learned outside of the classroom are an important part of a student's education at Cal State Northridge. The Marilyn Magaram Center provides internship, volunteer, academic research, continued education, and community outreach opportunities to enrich student learning in nutrition, dietetics and food science.
Marilyn Magaram Center Professional Education Programs
Every semester, the Marilyn Magaram Center offers Professional Education Program opportunities to all students in the DPD program. If you are interested in participating click on MMC PEPs for more information.
The Marilyn Magaram Center offers various webinars, seminars and teleseminars (Brown Bag Nutrition/Film Series) on a regular basis. Also, courses, such as the ServSafe certification program, are offered throughout the year. If you are interested in the Brown Bag Nutrition Lecture/Film Series, or any other courses offered through the Marilyn Magaram Center, please click on CONTINUING EDUCATION on the left. Students and professionals can register for upcoming lectures on the site.

Volunteers facilitate the execution of many programs offered by the center, both on campus and in the community. It is only with their generous support that we are able to host and participate in workshops, conferences, health fairs, and outreach in many other venues. Below you will find recent and upcoming opportunities of our volunteers.

Volunteer Agreement Form - Students must complete this form before they can participate in any event. Students who do not have this form turned in before any event will be asked to volunteer for the next event.
