The Marilyn Magaram Center
The programs offered at the Marilyn Magaram Center seek to promote the study of and distribution of information and knowledge in food science, nutrition and dietetics. In order to accomplish this, the Magaram Center provides educational programs such as workshops, mini-courses, seminars, conferences and symposia. The Magaram Center also focuses on community service by hosting food demonstrations and participating in public events across Los Angeles.
Community Supported Agriculture
CSUN now offers a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program to all faculty, staff and students! CSA boxes from Underwood Farms in Moorpark will be delivered to CSUN every Tuesday. Participants will be required to pick up their boxes between 3:30 and 5:30PM on the east side of the Matador Bookstore, located on Lindley Ave. and have the option to sign up for monthly, quarterly, or annual memberships!
Boxes available:
Small CSA Box
$15.00 / box
Our Small CSA Box will contain a variety of
seasonal produce suitable for two-person
households for about one week (or for bigger
families that maybe don’t cook every day, but
still want to have fresh, local produce in their
diet). The Small Box may not always include
fruit and is seasonally available.
Large CSA Box
$20.00 / box
The Large CSA Box consists of a large quantityand variety of seasonal vegetables, and always includes some fruit. It is usually sufficient for a family of four for one week.
