The Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics is a Department Center sponsored by the Department of Family & Consumer Sciences. As an auxiliary organization to the department, the Center can support research, community service, and education specific to food science, nutrition and dietetics as well as produce programs not normally offered through the University curriculum and financial processes.
The purpose of the Marilyn Magaram Center is to provide a framework within which professionals from related academic areas, business and industry, and other institutions can function in an interdisciplinary manner in order to achieve the goals. The goals of the Marilyn Magaram Center are to promote the study of and to disseminate information and knowledge in food science, nutrition and dietetics.
