Continuing Education is essential to promotion of nutrition and dietetics. Professionals and students can participate in either seminars or ServSafe to further their knowledge and credentials. CEU's, offered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, will be given to all Registered Dietitians.
ServSafe is a food safety training and certificate program. ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination is approved in the state for certification and food handler's state certificate. The Marilyn Magaram Center offers the ServSafe training and exam, in conjunction with the California Restaurant Association, to all CSUN students.
Some food industry employers are requiring ServSafe certification from their employees. Make yourself a more marketable candidate by taking the ServSafe certification through the Marilyn Magaram Center.
The Marilyn Magaram Center also offers the ServSafe certification course in Spanish. If you wish to take the Spanish course, please select the Spanish option on the registration page.
