Doris Delgado is currently a junior at CSULA double majoring in Biology and Nutritional Science with a minor in French and a certificate in Alternative
Nutrition. She is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2013. Her plans are
to become an RD and get a Master’s in either Food Science and Technology or Nutritional Biochemistry. This will allow her to pursue her research
interest in nutrition genetics. She enjoys blogging about nutrition and
wellness, as well as volunteering her time in the community and reading up
on emerging research in the field. She is an active member of Student Dietetic Association, LAD,Students United for Sustainability, and AND. Her
goals are to become a RD researcher at a university and a clinical practitioner in under-served communities.
Alejandra Franco is a junior at CSULA majoring in Nutritional Science. She is currently working on her certificate in Applied Gerontology. She volunteers at W.I.C., Anna Bing Preschool, Project Angel Food, and Duarte Senior Center. She is a current member of the CSULA SDA. After graduating, she plans to continue her education to receive her MS in Nutritional Science. Her main goal is to eventually become a Registered Dietitian.
Ana Ahumada is currently a junior at CSULA. She will graduate in Spring 2013. She enjoys volunteering at a senior center, W.I.C., and White Memorial Medical Center. She is also an active member of SDA. She plans to become a Register Dietitian and get her Master’s in Nutritional Science.
Christopher Bacani is a graduating senior at CSULA. He is majoring in Nutritional Science and focusing on alternative nutrition. After graduation he is planning to get his Master’s in food science and technology. He currently volunteers at Project Angel Food and at senior center in Cerritos.
Lewina Luk is the Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics and the Lab Coordinator at CSULA. She earned her Master’s degree in Nutritional Science from CSULA and her undergraduate degree in Biological Science from the University of Southern California. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
