Physical Therapy Scholars Honored by Dodger and Campanella Foundations

A little bit of Matador Red mixed in with Dodger Blue on the perfectly manicured grass at Chavez Ravine when a group of California State University, Northridge physical therapy students were honored before a recent Dodger game. The 10 CSUN students benefited from a special partnership between the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and the Roy and Roxie Campanella Foundation, which provides the students with physical therapy scholarships. Scholarships like these are a rarity, and a testament to a longstanding relationship between a Hall of Famer and the university. Read more

Health Sciences major Kimberly Arellano (Public Health) is the recipient of the Karen, Leon and Rita Goldstein-Saulter Memorial Award. She has maintained a 3.83 GPA and is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the 2015 Dean’s Award for the College of Health and Human Development and a fellowship with the National Institutes of Health – Maximizing Access to Research Careers Predoctoral Fellowship. Speech-Language Pathology: A Career for Jacqueline Dinh

Communication Disorders and Sciences student Jacqueline Dinh is featured in CSUN Today with a story and video that tell how the undergraduate program in Speech-Language Pathology and support from scholarships opened doors for her and led her to a career she loves.  She is working with other students in the department to establish a peer mentoring group and she got a job off campus with the Center for Autism Related Disorders where she has found rewarding work with children.  She plans to come back to CSUN for her Master’s.
