Terri Lisagor, EdD, MS, RD. Dr. Lisagor received her EdD from Pepperdine University, her MS in Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science from CSUN, and BA from UCLA. She is currently the Acting Chair for the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, as well as the co-advisor to the Student Dietetic and Food Science Association. Her research foci are childhood obesity, sports nutrition, as well as educational mentoring and closing the college completion gaps among our diverse student body. She teaches a breadth of Nutrition courses within the FCS Department. Since 1995, she has coordinated a nutrition and oral hygiene education program for the indigenous population in Guatemala, focusing on nutrition-related disease prevention. She is also an educational consultant to a pediatric dental and an Adjunct Instructor in the Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic Residency Programs at UCLA School of Dentistry. She recently received the American Academy of Dietetics’ Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award and the CSUN Distinguished Teaching Award.
