Program Outcome Measures

 Program completion

90% of interns enrolled in the DI program that is expected to complete all program requirements within 15 months.

Graduate employment

Employment Rate: Over a five-year period, 70% or more of DI graduates who sought employment in dietetics will be employed within three months of program completion.

Of 70% seeking employment, 33.3% of graduates will be employed at a Community or WIC position within three months of program completion.

Of 70% seeking employment, 66.6% of graduates will apply and be employed in other areas of dietetics within three months of program completion.

50% of graduates will be working at a higher than entry level position in dietetics such as supervisory, 3 years after graduation.

Pass rate of first-time test takers on the registration examination

Over a five-year period, the pass rate for DI graduates taking the registration examination for the first time will be at least 80%.

Completion of Spanish and Cultural Sensitivity class

90% of interns will complete a Spanish and cultural sensitivity class with a grade of B or better and/or a certificate of completion for cultural sensitivity class.

80% of graduates will agree that they are well prepared to provide nutrition counseling in a multicultural setting and using the Spanish language.

80% of preceptors will agree that the interns are well prepared to provide nutrition counseling in a multicultural setting and using the Spanish language at the end of the internship.

80% of employers will agree that the graduates are well prepared to provide nutrition counseling in a multicultural setting and using the Spanish language

50% of graduates will respond that they have improved their counseling in a multicultural setting and Spanish language, 3 years post graduation.

Completion of Research Methods class

90% of all interns will Complete FCS 681 and 682 research methods classes with a grade of B or better

80% of interns will agree that the program prepared them for collection, analysis and interpretation of research at the end of the internship program.

80% of graduates will agree that the program prepared them for collection, analysis and interpretation of research

80% of employers and/or preceptors will agree that the graduate is prepared for collection, analysis and interpretation of research.
