Biography

Barbara Rigney-Hill is an Instructor in the Family Studies Option with the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. She completed her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies at Rosemont College in Pennsylvania. She received her M.A. degree from CSU, Northridge in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in early childhood education and parenting. Her area of specialization is in child development, lifespan development, early childhood teacer training and mentoring, parenting, and administration of children’s programs. Barbara Rigney-Hill teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including: FCS 232 Individual & Family Development; FCS 330 Child Growth & development; FCS 436 Parental Development; and FCS 533 Issues in Administration of Children’s Programs. She is a member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and AAFCS (American Association of Family & Consumer Scientists)
