Be a trusted advocate for nutrition and health policies to elevate the health of our nation! Learn About: Innovative food, nutrition and health policies affecting professionals and the public; how citizens, local health departments, community organizations, and policymakers collaborate to enhance our public's health; ways to take action and get involved in public policy.  Keynote Speaker: Angla Tagtow, MS, RD, LD, Executive Director, USDA Center for Nutrition Policy & Promotion.

This year’s event, “Advocating for a Healthy and Sustainable Food Environment” is designed to empower individuals to become effective advocates for food access, nutrition and community health.  There are a variety of areas of campus involved in this collaborative event:

About Angela Tagtow: Appointed in July 2014, Angela Tagtow is the Executive Director for the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP) at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Washington, D.C. CNPP works to improve the health and well being of Americans by developing and promoting dietary guidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of consumers.
