Assessment & Program Review

students and faculty in conversation

Assessment is an annual process that takes place at the program and college levels. It involves the collection and interpretation of student competencies along the timeline of their educational experience from their first days on campus through graduation. Sustained, critical self-examination of what we expect our students to understand, learn and retain, provides evidence that leads us to make informed improvements in pedagogy, curriculum and program delivery.  Check the Quick Links on this page for more information about assessment at the university and college levels.

Program Review ensures that our academic programs maintain the highest quality educational experiences for our students. The process fosters self-reflection and creative problem solving within and among academic departments to ensure student success.

*NOTE: If a program completed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the 2013-2014 academic year or earlier, then it is under the five-year review policy. If a program completed their MOU during the 2014-2015 academic year or later, it will now be under the six-year review policy.
