CSUN Annual Student Research and Creative Works Symposium

Friday, February 15, 2013

The CSUN Student Research and Creative Works Symposium takes place each spring semester. The purpose of the symposium is to highlight student achievement and to inform the campus community of the excellent quality and diversity of research and creative activity being conducted by undergraduate and graduate students across all academic disciplines. The symposium format permits a 10 minute oral presentation or a poster presentation. There are separate undergraduate and graduate divisions for each of the following categories: Behavioral and Social Sciences; Biological and Agricultural Sciences; Business and Economics; Creative Arts and Design; Education; Engineering and Computer Science; Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences; Humanities and Letters; and Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

Students make either an oral or poster presentation. Based on the recommendation of the judges, cash awards are presented to the outstanding oral presenter and runner-up in each category for both the graduate and undergraduate divisions. For the poster session, a cash award is given to the outstanding undergraduate and graduate student.

Please note: The CSUN student research symposium is a popular event and we are limited to the number of presentations we can support. We have availability for 70 oral presentations and 60 poster presentations. Therefore, please submit your application/abstract as soon as possible to participate in this symposium. It is on first come first serve basis.
