Alpha Nu Kappa Sorority

Alpha Nu Kappa strives to build a camaraderie among black women in Student Housing. We help develop women to grow and pursue their passions while challenging them to take risks. We also focus on providing a positive outlet and safe environment for our women to talk about their issues and personal struggles. We also strive to create unity and a place where black women can come together, relate to one another, and build friendships.

Art Education on the Edge

The goals of this organization would be to provide an effective transition from art education preparation to professional practice. We would like to promote and exchange of information, tools, strategies and ideas in order to provide a support system for all individuals interested in being an art educator.


Asian Americans for Community and Talent (AACT)

Athletic Training Club

The Athletic Training Club is dedicated to the development, implementation and maintenance of programs for the continued growth of the Athletic training fields through the organization, promotion, and participation in events and activities affiliated with CSUN.


Aztlán Graduation and Scholarship Committee

The Aztlan Graduation and Scholarship Committee strives to follow the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A.) organization requirements, and raise money for graduations, luncheons, dinners, and scholarships for Latina/o students.


Bachelor of Science Nursing Student Association (BSNSA)

Bachelor of Science Nursing Student Association strives to promote and encourage the recruitment of new students into the CSUN Nursing program by providing an avenue of networking and career development for CSUN nursing students.


Baha’I Association @ CSUN

The purpose of this association shall be to further the tenets of the Bahá’í Faith, to invite those interested to investigate the Faith for themselves; to promote the unity of mankind; and to foster understanding, love and fellowship on this campus by sponsoring such things as lectures, information tables, service projects, discussions, informal gatherings, social activities and public meetings. This association shall not endorse any partisan or political group on a campus level or otherwise.



The Ballet Folklorico Aztlán de CSUN is a dance organization whose focus is on promoting the rich cultural background of the Mexican community while teaching its participants the wide variety of regional dances which exist in Mexico.

The Ballroom Dance Club promotes the knowledge of dance, club programs, and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Ballroom Dance in the community.

Bicycle Club @ CSUN

The Bicycle Club at California State University Northridge is committed to the activities of recreation, adventure-travel, bicycle advocacy and community redevelopment. The club encourages members to discuss and promote the building of bike trails and bike paths, urban planning, the advocacy of bicycle infrastructure and any and all issues which club members may wish to discuss and participate in as it relates to the use of bicycles in the community.

Biology, Ecology, and Evolution Reading Club

The Biology, Ecology, and Evolution Reading Club strives to help students develop critical thinking and reading skills, while becoming more familiar with the literature in ecology and evolution.


Black Pre-Health Club

The Black Pre-Health Club strives to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in the health related sciences and offer academic advisement, community involvement, social activities and overall student support.


Black Student Union

The directive of the Black Student Union shall be to remain creative, diligent and proactive in all matters affecting Black students, while strongly promoting and aiding the academic excellence of its members.

Buddhists for World Peace

Buddhists for World Peace strives to become more involved in the community by sponsoring college activities, including topics such as environmental awareness, cultural diversity, Victory Over Violence and Introduction to Buddhism.

The Business Honors Association strives to create a professional and social network for students accepted into the Business Honors Program.


C.A.P.T.U.R.E.D Research Group

The C.A.P.T.U.R.E.D. group’s principle goal is to give students an opportunity to explore social issues, and to bring awareness to topics that are often overlooked or misconstrued in our society. Through our research, programming, writing and documentaries, we plan to educate and inform individuals about the issues that have been affecting many of us throughout our lives, but have never really been brought into the open and discussed in depth. We want to give people a chance to tell their stories and express themselves about topics relevant to them. A significant goal of the group is to capture oral histories and document them so that they may not be forgotten. Whether to inspire change, educate, or enlighten the masses, C.A.P.T.U.R.E.D produces real world issues from a universal standpoint. Encouraging shifts in perspective is a huge objective with C.A.P.T.U.R.E.D., and in order to promote change, spreading awareness is essential. The art of non-fiction storytelling and writing articles for publication is C.A.P.T.U.R.E.D.’s main means of heightening consciousness, and promoting civic engagement.

Classical Guitar Club

Classical Guitar Club strives to integrate CSUN classical guitarists, provide a better environment, and create opportunities that the student body and staff of CSUN might not be able to directly offer us. Establish a name for the CSUN classical Guitar program and develop it over the coming years.


College Students in Broadcasting

The College Students in Broadcasting Club strives to acquaint members with the broadcasting industry by providing opportunities to meet and network with professionals in the radio, television and film industries.


Construction Management Association of America

Construction Management strives to help members to interact with fellow colleagues to discuss projects in a professional service that applies effective management techniques to the planning, design, and construction of a project.


Cross-Cultural Dialogue Student Association

This purpose shall be carried out through the following objectives: 1. To advance racial ethnic and cultural understanding cooperation through the exchange of ideas among its members. 2. To promote interaction between students and professionals. 3. To demonstrate within the academic and professional environment, the practical value of cultural diversity. 4. To enhance the cultural development of individual members through the collective dissemination of information of value and interests to members. 5. To enhance career opportunities for individual members. 6. To advance academic development of individual members through the exchange of cultural information. 7. To advocate for an inclusive campus environment where in the needs of minority population are taken into consideration. 8. To strive for the highest ethical standards in carrying out these purposes. 9. The main goal of CCD is to be against to any kind of prejudices to other cultures and to every one who is different than the other. CCD aims to widespread the understanding of “Let’s know each other!” and to construct a common understanding and tolerance atmosphere among CSUN students and the surrounding community. 10.

The purposes of this club are to: 1. Promote the art, science, and practice of engineering in the aeronautics field. 2. Encourage originality in research 3. The purpose of CSUN Automotive Enthusiasts (CAE) is to create a community of automotive enthusiasts on the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Campus through social interaction by holding meetings and events. The passion of automobile driving is shared through the experiences and knowledge of individuals within the community. The club advocates safe and responsible driving and is completely against illegal street racing. The goal of CAE is to enrich the minds of students and enthusiasts alike of various automobiles and motorsports.


CSUN Basketball Club

The CSUN Basketball Club strives to advance the sport of college basketball and foster collegiate competition while maintaining the spirit of the game through athletic achievement and sportsmanship.

The CSUN Cross-Cultural Friendship Club exists to build lasting friendships among international students, scholars and American friends by caring for and fostering their unique interests – physical, social, emotional, and spiritual. CSUN Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society for Students with Disabilities

Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society recognizes the academic accomplishments of college and university students with disabilities, to facilitate development of leadership and advocacy skills, and to provide opportunities for members to serve as mentors and role models. The further purpose of this Society shall be to provide educational programming related to disability issues for the campus and community.

The Filipino American Student Association provides activities that promote closer unity among Filipino Americans and involves Filipino Americans in the propagation and maintenance of the Filipino cultural and historical heritage.

The Football Club provides students with an opportunity to develop athletic skill, become better teammates, and individual growth through sportsmanship, teamwork, and passion for play.

The Gospel Choir promotes awareness of spiritual and cultural interconnectedness of humans and elevates African American Spiritual Gospel music.

The CSUN Improv Club is an organization that provides a medium for every CSUN student to participate in improvisational acting. The CSUN Improv Club also provides an outlet for students who want to work on interpersonal communication skills, meet friends, use their creativity, laugh, and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.


CSUN Jishin Taiko Ensemble

The Jishin Taiko Ensemble is born of an interest in not only Japanese Taiko drumming, Japanese Traditional Music, and Japanese culture, but it also has a desire to form an intra and interpersonal social connection with the Japanese-American community at CSUN.

The CSUN Karate Club strives to compete in true Japanese karate in the traditional manner of Japan and develop a moral character built through hard work and diligent training.

The Matador Grappling Team encourages CSUN students to participate in a social/competitive environment and to be active in a sport and uphold the high standards of CSUN sports club programs.

The CSUN Matador Speech and Debate Team encourages students to participate in public speaking events and to compete in speeches and debate tournaments.


CSUN Media Entertainment Guild

To inform, encourage and enlighten students’ interest in film and video production, both in practical matters as well as in the aesthetic values. To strengthen the educational process with information, experience and exposure to knowledge that cannot be covered in classes by inviting guest speakers and networking with graduates along with people working in the entertainment industry. The Media Entertainment Guild will generate support from the students and the CSUN community by producing student films, festivals, and special events, thus gaining recognition and respect as a revered part of the academic and social influence of film in the California State University System.

CSUN Mobile Robot Club

The purpose of the Mobile Robot Club is to promote robotics and innovative technology within the community and the university itself. This is facilitated through the design and assembly of a fully autonomous robotic vehicle that can negotiate a course with obstacles and perform tasks assigned to it. The goals of this organization are to foster ties between young engineers and the organizations developing unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technologies. Furthermore the organization would like to welcome any interested students and provide them with a means of exploring cutting-edge technology. In doing so the organization intends to improve state-of-the-art robotics technology by challenging a new world-wide generation of engineers and participants.

CSUN Printmaking Society

CSUN Printmaking Society strives to create and encourage a sense of community amongst students interested in printmaking. They support the exchange of information and ideas as well as encouraging involvement in the print community, both inside and outside of academia.

CSUN Roller Hockey strives to advance the sport of college roller hockey and foster collegiate roller hockey competition while maintaining the spirit of the game through athletic achievement and sportsmanship.


CSUN Soccer Fan Club

This club is designed for every student of this campus, who is willing to show his/her support for the CSUN Matadors soccer team. The main goal of this club is to broaden College spirit and to create more attention toward our soccer team. It is the uniqueness of this club that will allow CSUN students to show their support and passion for this College throughout the state.


CSUN Social Work Society

The Social Work Society creates a voice for the MSW (Master of Social Work) students as well as forms a working relationship with the faculty and administration to improve on social work and social work education.


CSUN Students for Israel (CSI )

CSUN Students for Israel strives to bring a greater understanding of the state of Israel by providing educational opportunities in regards to Israeli politics, current events, history, and culture to the entire faculty, staff, and student populations at Cal State University, Northridge.


CSUN Students for Justice in Palestine (CSUN-SJP)

CSUN Students for Justice in Palestine strives to remain inclusive of all those who wish to better understand the plight of the Palestinian people. SJP also reaches out to those who are not familiar with the Arab-Israeli or Palestinian-Israeli conflicts.

Gluten-Free CSUN

The organization shall exist to: 1. Provide a community of emotional and social support to students living gluten-free. 2. Educate its members and the gluten-free community on maintaining and improving overall health on a gluten-free diet. 3. Matador Pedal Sports of CSUN

The purpose of this organization is to educate and familiarize students and members of the campus community with the principles of building Human Powered Vehicles (HPVs) which are engineered for competitive events as well as everyday commuting. MTO Sufi Association

The MTO Sufi Association, a non-profit student organization, seeks to raise awareness of the spiritual aspect of human beings, and to create a supportive community to enhance the development of the individual in all its totality. Sufism teaches the path to Self-cognition and believes a successful human society is attained through the outward and inward harmony of each of its members, and their harmonious existence in a unified system. Without achieving this, acceptance and peace will never be attained. We hope to foster dialogue and understanding amongst different religious/spiritual/philosophical groups to create "a bridge between religions." National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

The National Society of Black Engineers, as a national student and professional based organization, does hereby dedicate itself to the development of intensive programs for increasing Black and other ethnic minority participation in the field of engineering and engineering technology. These programs will be initiated both within and outside the university community and will serve to strengthen relations between professional industry and the black community. Northridge Ice Hockey Team

The Painting Guild strives to supplement the studio artistic experience by creating an ongoing forum of artistic development in the hope of continuing an interest in the creative process above and beyond the classroom environment, to reinforce and cultivate artistic growth and to act as transitory support system after graduation.

Preconception Peer Educators

The purpose of Preconception Peer Educators CSUN-PPE is as peer educators trained and certified through US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health to reduce health disparities and infant mortality rates, and promote preconception health in those communities most impacted by these issues. We would like to educate the student body, and community about health disparities that exist. The focus is to mentor and encourage total health among minorities in our community and to spread the news about infant mortality rates among African Americans, and minorities in America, and how to decrease these rates by properly educating ourselves about preventative measures.

Founded as a grassroots organization in 1946, its purpose was to set standards for gathering and reporting news. Although news techniques and technologies have changed since its founding, RTDNA's commitment to excellence in the journalism industry remains the same.
