During a previous rain, runoff along the East Topanga Fire Road produced this miniature birdsfoot delta. The moderately sinuous channel is clear. Along the sides of the channel are bulbous levee deposits formed when the water and sand spilled over the sides of the channel. Beyond the levees are flat floodplain deposits formed earlier before the most recent channel and levees advanced over the older floodplain.
