ELM Logo ELM Resources to check your loan status. ELM Resources provides automated Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and alternative loan data exchange, updates, and loan information through the Internet. ELM is a not-for-profit company supported by the lenders, guarantors and servicers who are its members.
FSA Logo

Federal Student Aid Programs is a part of the U.S. Department of Education, its main responsibility is administering the Federal financial aid programs for college and university students. You can obtain information about federal aid programs through this website or by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 800-4-FED-AID (800-433-3243).

FAFSA Logo

FAFSA on the Web was created by the U.S. Department of Education, allows you to enter your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on line. Completing your FAFSA on the Web can save you approximately two weeks of processing time when compared to using the paper FAFSA. If you have general or technical questions about FAFSA on the Web you can call 800-801-0576 for assistance.

The U.S. Department of Education's PIN Registration Site allows a student to register for a PIN code. Similar to a Personal Identification Number you might have for your ATM or credit card, your PIN code from the Dept. of Education can be used to access a variety of federal aid websites. For example, your PIN code can be used in place of a signature for completing a FAFSA on the Web, or it can be used to access your student loan records with the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). You can contact PIN Customer Service at 800-801-0576 or TTY 800-511-5806.

NSLDS

The U.S. Department of Education's National Student Loan Data System allows a student to view information about federal financial aid they have received at all colleges they have attended. In order to access your information, you will need to register for a PIN (see information above regarding PIN Registration). For questions about a loan or grant, or for technical support, contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 800-4-FED-AID (800-433-3243) or TDD 800-730-8913.

Selective Service

The Selective Service site allows you to register on-line. Registration is mandatory for almost all males between the ages of 18 and 25, and any males who are required to register must do so before receiving any form of federal or state financial aid. If you have questions regarding the Selective Service contact them at 847-688-6888.

CSAC logo

California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) administers the State of California's financial aid programs including Cal Grants and the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver. If you have questions about the state financial aid programs you can contact CSAC at 888-CA-GRANT (888-224-7268) or click on their logo the left.

Ed Fund Logo

EdFund is one of the nation's leading providers of student loan services under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). This program includes Federal Parent (PLUS) loans and Federal Stafford loans. If you have questions regarding student loans you can contact EdFund at 877-2-EDFUND (877-233-3863), or click on the graphic to the right to go to their website.

EdWise is an online financial planning guide created by EdFund. It is a tool that assists students by helping them take charge of the process by determining how much to borrow for college. It also helps students develop a budget based on their expected expenses and income.

FinAid

Finaid! The SmartStudent™ Guide to Financial Aid was created by Mark Kantrowitz. This site contains a wide variety of general information about financial aid. Also, the site contains many links to free scholarship searches, universities, and other organizations related to higher education.

Thomson Peterson's

Peterson's website contains a lot of information about colleges, universities, financial aid and scholarships. Peterson's publishes a variety of books on college and financing your education.

EduPass

EduPASS! The SmartStudent™ Guide to Studying in the USA was created by Mark Kantrowitz. This site contains information for students from other countries who plan to study at a college or university in the United States. The site offers in formation about admissions, financial aid, and other topics related to college life.

Loan Locator

Loan Locator is an on line service offered by the National Student Clearinghouse. Through this website, you can track the holder or owner of your student loans.

IRS logo

The Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board websites offer a plethora of information regarding income tax law, forms, publications, and other related topics. The websites are invaluable during tax filing season as you can download many of the necessary tax forms from the internet.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to improve access and retention of low-income and educationally disadvantaged students. EOP students have the potential to perform satisfactorily but have not been able to realize this potential because of economic or educational background. The program provides admission, academic, and financial assistance to EOP-eligible undergraduate students. Campuses tailor their programs to accommodate the needs of their student population.
