- Outgoing students: CSUN students
attending another college campus. CSUN remains your home school
while the campus you are visiting is the host school:
- Plan A: You must apply for aid from the host
campus. List that school on your Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). CSUN will not fund you for the semester
you are on Plan A. You pay registration fees/tuition to the host
school. Contact
the host school for Information!
- Plan B: Apply for aid from CSUN—list
CSUN on your FAFSA: Federal code # 001153.
If you are eligible for aid, CSUN will fund you, and you will
pay registration fees to CSUN.
- Your name must be on the NSE, outgoing Plan B list prepared by the Office of Student Development and International Programs
- Funds are sent to the host school's disbursement office
- Fees and other university obligations to CSUN are deducted from your aid before the balance check is sent to the host school
- You will be billed by CSUN if your aid is not enough to pay all of your fees or other university obligations
- While on NSE exchange, you are not eligible for College Work-Study
- Aid is disbursed from CSUN at the same time all other CSUN students get their aid
- The "Cost of Education" (budget) used is the CSUN off-campus budget.
- Plan A: You must apply for aid from the host
campus. List that school on your Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA). CSUN will not fund you for the semester
you are on Plan A. You pay registration fees/tuition to the host

- Incoming students: Students from other NSE schools
who will attend at least one semester at CSUN. CSUN is
the host school and the original school is the home

- Plan A: Apply to CSUN for aid for the semester
you will attend here. On the FAFSA, the Federal code # is 001153.
If eligible, CSUN will fund you.
- Your name must be on the NSE, incoming Plan A list prepared by the Office of Student Development and International Programs
- You pay registration fees to CSUN as if you were a Resident. You will not be charged Nonresident Fees.
- You are not eligible for California State aid.
- Registration fees and other university obligations will be deducted from your aid before a balance check is sent to your university address of record
- You will be billed by CSUN if your aid is not enough to pay all of your registration fees or other university obligations
