The College of Science and Mathematics at California State University, Northridge has five academic departments: Biology, Chemistry, Geological Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics & Astronomy, with approximately 1,500 undergraduate and graduate majors and a total enrollment of more than 3,000 full-time equivalent students. A wide range of bachelor's and master's degree programs is offered, including interdisciplinary programs in Earth Science and Genetic Counseling. A talented, diversified faculty is committed to teaching excellence, high quality scholarship and the education of a multicultural student body in an intellectually supportive community. Both undergraduate and graduate majors are able to participate in research with the faculty and the research accomplishments are a source of pride for the College.

Reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by CSUN, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus, during the last three years, are included. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other safety matters. Print copies are available in the library, and by request from the Office of Public Safety and the Office of Faculty Affairs.
