Our Services

The 215+ employees of the Facilities division, which is composed of both Physical Plant Management (PPM) and Facilities Planning Design and Construction (FPDC), provides the CSUN community with a wide-range of services to ensure that our physical environment meets the University's learning, research and public service goals.

CSUN’s Physical Plant Management (PPM) The PPM unit is dedicated to maintenance of the campus’s physical environment.  As the stewards of the buildings and grounds on our 350 acre campus, PPM is the single point of contact for all service and maintenance requests. Dedicated to providing superior service to our clients (faculty, staff, students, and neighbors), PPM staff evaluate and prioritize customer work requests, and work to ensure the highest standards for safe, high-quality and cost-effective physical plant management. The PPM unit also provides logistical services, such as asset management and shipping to the CSUN community.

CSUN’S Facilities Planning, Design & Construction (FPDC) The FPDC unit is charged with planning, develop and delivering physical environments that support and enhance the University's academic mission. FPDC staff work closely with students, faculty, administrative and community in all aspects of capital project development. From the site selection of buildings and courtyards, to the design and construction of sustainable campus facilities and meeting tight budget requirements, collaboration plays a critical role in our work as we strive to provide innovative and cost-effective design and solutions to the CSUN community.
