On-CampusThe Sierra Center houses various restaurants offering a broad selection of cooked-to-order food, from rice and noodle dishes to pizzas cooked in a woodstone oven, as well as packaged salads and deli sandwiches. The Freudian Sip coffeehouse is also located there. The Bookstore complex houses Jamba Juice, Rice Garden,South Size Pizza,Burrito Norte, Krispy Kreme Donuts, and Burger King. The University Student Union houses Subway, the Pub and a convenience store. The University Club -- A non-membership restaurant for lunch, which has rooms that can be booked for meetings and dinners. On the corner of Nordhoff & Zelzah, just east of the campus orange grove. 677-2076.

- LA Weekly--A free alternate paper that has good reviews of exhibits, films, and restaurants in LA.
- Daily Sundial--A newspaper published four times a week by students at California State University, Northridge and offered free around campus and also online.
- @csun-- A biweekly publication, produced by the CSUN Office of Public Relations, during the academic year for the university and includes FYI, For Your Information, which publishes announcements for the university community.
- Matador Bookstore --The on-campus bookstore that sells textbooks, general interest books and CSUN apparel.
What to listen to?
- KCSN 88.5 FM--The campus-based radio station of California State University, Northridge, airs both locally produced programs and national news offerings from Public Radio International. Area listeners can access an online program guide. Its primary focus is on classical music.
- KPFK 90.7 is a Pacifica Radio Station that carries Democracy Now and other alternatives to mainstream programming.
- The region has several NPR stations: KPCC in Pasadena is 89.3; KCRW is at 89.9.
- KFWB 980 carries news, traffic and the Dodger games; KNX1070 is another all-news radio station that carries frequent traffic reports and sports.
