The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (GCBA) offered by California State University, Northridge (CSUN) allows those who have already earned their bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in a field other than business to acquire the foundational knowledge needed for success in the business world.
The GCBA program helps participants to achieve greater business success by:
This program is designed for students who desire the challenge and experience of MBA-level coursework, without commitment to a full MBA program at this time. The GCBA courses also serve as preparation, for those who do not have a business degree, for entry into an accredited MBA program.
The GCBA program is offered by CSUN’s College of Business and Economics (COBAE), which is among the largest colleges of business in the nation and is accredited by American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
COBAE works in collaboration with CSUN ‘s Tseng College, which has substantial expertise in developing and managing distinctive graduate programs for midcareer professionals, international programs, and advanced-level education for professionals and their employers.
The GCBA program is ideal for those considering a career change or seeking career advancement. It is designed for successful midcareer professionals who earned a bachelor’s degree in a field other than business and now are making more “business” decisions.
Many professionals emerge as business leaders without a bachelor’s degree in business. However, as they succeed in the workplace or in entrepreneurial settings, they may desire to better understand the field of business administration.
The coursework in this certificate program provides a stand-alone tool kit that can later be further developed in an MBA program, but will provide immediate value through enhanced current and relevant business knowledge, skills and abilities.
