Transitional Programs
INSIDE The FreshStart Program
On the front lines...
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at California State University, Northridge designs, administers, and supports programs that deliver access and retention services to CSUN students. EOP focuses on highly motivated low-income, first-generation college students,
a population that not only reflects the diversity of the university itself.
EOP provides eligible students with a modest EOP grant. Also, students may participate in an EOP Transitional Programs: Bridge Residential, Bridge Commuter, Transfer Bridge or FreshStart. Its Faculty Mentor Program provides mentoring services, training, and resources for faculty, staff, and students.

FreshStart Program
FreshStart 2009 was a Success!!
A three day transitional program designed to better familiarize and orient students with the Educational Opportunity Program and the CSUN campus community. Its goal is to give students a head start towards a successful college experience and the opportunity to begin building community with other students. Students will acquire a greater understanding of the campus, will meet new friends, and be better prepared for the first day of classes and throughout their experience here at CSUN.
All 2009 Transitional Program students demonstrated a high degree of initiative and focus this past summer. EOP congratulates the students for taking the first important steps to college. Keep up the good work in the fall 2009 semester!!!
