FAQ

EOP Admissions at CSUN

Students admitted to EOP receive the following services:

• One - on - one help planning your schedule

• Summer Programs (Some with college credit)

• Academic Support and Mentoring throughout your college experience

• A $1,000 yearly Grant (If you qualify)

EOP typically facilitates the admission of approximately 500-700 new freshmen and transfer students each academic year.

Students wishing to enter the university with the assistance of EOP must file supplemental documents and materials in addition to the university application.

A limited number of students who may not be routinely eligible (but who have demonstrated they have the motivation and potential to matriculate and graduate) are granted exceptional admission consideration. The financial criteria for EOP admission changes each year and is posted in the EOP application documents that are distributed with the university application materials. A limited number of EOP students receive a modest grant (approximately $800 per year), all EOP grants are processed through the Financial Aid Office.

Only historically low-income and educationally disadvantaged undergraduate students who need admission assistance or support services to succeed in college are admitted to EOP. They must demonstrate academic potential and motivation, be California residents or qualify for an AB 540 nonresident tuition exemption, and meet the EOP income criteria.
