I. Tenure Track Positions
We regret to inform you that due to budgetary constraints and California's current fiscal crisis, we are forced to cancel this year's search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Eighteenth-Century British Literature and Culture. We feel this disappointment keenly, as we had looked forward with much enthusiasm to interviewing candidates at MLA. We wish each of you the best of luck in your search for a tenure-track position.
II. Lecturer Positions
The Department of English makes a number of lecturer appointments which are temporary and which do not confer academic rank. Lecturers are sought for seven separate teaching areas:
- Composition
- Composition (for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students)
- Creative Writing
- English/Business Communication
- Linguistics
- Literature
- Literature (for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students)
The Department of English is currently accepting applications for the part time pool for the 2009-2010 academic year. Please click on a specific ad for instructions on assembling an application packet. A separate application packet is required for each area of interest. All materials should be postmarked by the closing date, April 17, 2009.
