Welcome to the homepage of the Department of English at California State University, Northridge. We are a dynamic community of teachers, scholars, writers, and staff members dedicated to superior educational achievements both for ourselves and our students.

As one of the original—and still one of the largest—departments in the 50-year history of CSUN, the Department of English has had much to offer in the past and even more to offer now. We invite you to examine our thriving undergraduate major and minor options and our distinguished graduate M.A. and Teaching Associate programs; to browse through our array of courses and seminars; and to discover the exciting professional activities engaged in by members of our English Department community.
