Vaughn P. Cable

Vaughn Cable received his BSE & MSE degrees from California State University, Northridge and his EE PhD degree from the Ohio State University with emphasis in Electromagnetics and Communications. Dr.Cable is currently a Senior Engineer in the Spacecraft Antennas esearch Group of JPL and he also manages the Mesa Antenna Measurement Facility. Since coming to JPL, he has made ontributions to a number of projects, including Mars Exploration Rover, Mars Reconnaissance Obiter, Mars Science Laboratory, and Space Infrared Telescope (Spitzer Telescope).

Dr. Cable is currently Co PI with Caltech on a Mars Technology task to improve JPL’s Computational Electromagnetic modeling capabilities. Prior to coming to JPL in 2000, Dr. Cable was 13 years with Lockheed Martin working in radar signature control and radar subsystems design. Dr. Cable currently holds a part time faculty position with California State University, Northridge were he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering. He is also a regular reviewer for IEEE AP-S Transactions and has authored and co-authored more than 30 professional presentations and peer reviewed papers.
