We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. Eliza Corpuz Chosen as Alumni Ambassador for U.S. State Department Critical Language Scholarship Program

Several years ago, while taking Chinese language courses at Pasadena City College, Eliza won a Critical Language Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State to take part in a program to expand the number of Americans mastering foreign languages critical to our national security and economic prosperity. She has now been chosen to be an Alumni Ambassador for the program and is the principal advisor for CSU Northridge. She will be representing us at the upcoming HACU conference in San Diego.

Dimpal Jain Receives NSF Grant

Dimpal Jain received an NSF grant for $3 million dollars. The grant is titled “Creating Opportunities for Minoritized Undergraduate Students to Participate in Mentored Research” with Gaby Chavira, Crist Khachikian, Melanie Bocanegra, and Chris Stanford as Principal Investigators.  Dr. Jain will serve as a faculty fellow. Congratulations, Dr. Jain! The Bridge Project Receives Continuation Grant From U.S. Department of Education

Congratulations to Dr. Zhen Chai and the rest of the Bridge Project team for receiving a $231,245 continuation grant from the U.S. Department of Education for "The Bridge Project: Bringing Early Childhood Special Educators and Behavior Interventionists Together Through Interdisciplinary Evidence-Based Preparation to Serve Young Children with High-Intensity Needs". Learn more on the Bridge Project website
