Volunteers are essential to Strength United's work to end violence and abuse. We are thankful to have so many dedicated people give their time and talent to support our mission. As part of our continuing volunteer appreciation series, please join us in taking a moment to recognize another outstanding volunteer: Cibele.
Cibele, a California State University, Northridge graduate and marriage and family therapy intern, is an in-home counselor for the Family Preservation Program, which provides comprehensive support services to families experiencing difficulties. Cibele’s works as an in-home counselor identifies and builds on the strengths of individuals and families to ensure the physical, emotional, social and educational development of children in a safe and nurturing family environment.
As Cibele shared, the most rewarding part of her work is when families tell her that her work with them in the Family Preservation program has directly lead to positive changes in their lives.
