College of Education Receives New Eisner Foundation Grant

We are thrilled to share the good news that the Eisner Foundation board has approved a general operating grant in the amount of $400,000 over two years to CSUN for the Michael D. Eisner College of Education. This is a renewal of the 2-year support we received from the Eisner Foundation which ended in December, 2021. This funding is especially welcomed with the significant increase in student enrollment in our college credential programs as we work to meet the teacher shortage and diversify the teacher and other school-based workforce while dealing with budget cuts with the pandemic. Thank you very much to the Eisner Foundation for their continued support, and thanks to all of our college family who helped with this process. Read more

CSUN Doctoral Academic Technology Equity Fellowship Opportunity

The CSUN Office of Academic Technology in collaboration with the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership and the Research and Sponsored Programs Office announce the launch of the Doctoral Academic Technology Equity Fellowship. The fellowship supports doctoral-level research and professional development in topics that include digital equity, identification and promotion of best practices in technology-based education, and solutions toward improved access to technology regardless of ability and socioeconomic background. Admitted and currently enrolled students in CSUN’s Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Program are eligible to apply by April 1, 11 pm . The applicant selected for the fellowship will receive a $1000 stipend at the end of the fellowship. Former ELPS Student Trimaine Davis named honorary NFL Super Bowl Captain

Trimaine Davis, a longtime educator in Los Angeles, has been named one of the three honorary captains for upcoming Super Bowl LV this Sunday February 7th, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. Trimaine has been a tireless advocate for Black students with his prior involvement in CSUN’s Black Male Initiative and his current work as a Retention Coordinator with the VIPS Scholars program at UCLA.
