Nathan Durdella

Nathan Durdella

Dr. Nathan Durdella is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). He previously served as project manager of grant research at Santa Monica College and as the director of the research and planning at Cerritos College. Over the last decade, Dr. Durdella has served as a project evaluator on multiple federally funded projects, including two Title V projects and a Veterans FIPSE project, and currently serves as project evaluator for CSUN’s Title HSI-STEM project in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Dr. Durdella’s current research focuses on college impact and uses qualitative methods to examine historically underrepresented students in STEM fields. Dr. Durdella completed his doctoral training at the University of California Los Angeles, where his dissertation examined the effectiveness of responsive evaluation in community college instructional support programs. Dr. Durdella has published work in the Encyclopedia of Diversity in Education, Community College Journal of Research and Practice, and the Journal of Applied Research in the Community College.
