Dr. Kligman earned a B.A. in English from California State University Northridge and a M. S. in Reading from Pepperdine University. He holds the California Standard Elementary Teaching Credential, California Administrative Services Credential, California Reading and Language Arts Specialist Credential and serves as the Coordinator at CSUN. Dr. Kligman serves as the Director of CSUN’s Los Angeles Times Literacy Center and the America’s Challenge and Consultant and Literacy Trainer for The Wonder of Reading Program. His research and professional interests include literacy tutoring and brain compatible learning. Teach credential and graduate courses in literacy. Classroom teacher grades- Pre-school through grade 8. reading Specialist, district Director Language Arts, Social Sciences, learning Director, Staff Development Specialist, owner-Director of Private Primary School- The Renaissance Learning Center.
