FOR PERSONNEL PROCESS (from CFA)

 

CFA, California Faculty Association: sole and exclusive representative of the bargaining unit (Unit 3)

PIF, Professional Information File: file prepared and maintained by the faculty member

PAF, Personnel Action File: the property of the University, kept in the office of the College Dean for use only in personnel actions

PPR, Personnel, Planning and Review Committee: the University level committee, composed of tenured teaching faculty members from each of the colleges, the president of the Faculty, a tenured Librarian, and a tenured Student Affairs representative

Section 600, CSUN Administrative Manual, the "Blue Book": the University's academic policies and procedures; updated each year

The Contract, Memorandum of Understanding: Agreement between the Board of Trustees of the CSU and the California Faculty Association. Sets forth the wages, hours of employment, and other terms and conditions of the bargaining unit
