Berke Assessment Library

The Berke Assessment Library was established to serve the needs of the Special Education Department and their role in preparing teachers to assess children’s support needs.  The Michael D. Eisner College of Education believes that in the future, professionals who work with children need to be prepared to successfully assess and support the needs of all types of learners.  As the college prepares to make assessment a key component of all preparation programs, the role of the Berke Assessment Library has been expanded within the TLC facility to better meet the evolving needs of faculty, pre-professionals, professionals and parents. The Berke Assessment Library currently provides support to students and faculty by serving as a resource library of assessment tests and protocols to use for academic, cognitive, socio-emotional, and career assessments.

Proposed Services:

The college vision is that the Berke Assessment Library, as part of the new transdisciplinary model, will provide psycho-educational assessment, behavioral assessment and intervention, consultation, parent education and support, and in-services.  The following are the proposed future services:
