Applying for your credential
Students in our credential programs are encouraged to submit a Credential Request form at the beginning of their last semester of coursework. CSUN coursework in progress that semester must be the only thing still in progress. All testing, CPR and approved coursework taken at institutions other than CSUN must already have been completed. A Credential Analyst will partially process the request making sure that everything is in order. We will then hold the request until the end of the semester for a final check when grades are posted. At that point, providing all is well, the Analyst will submit the recommendation to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The student is kept informed as to their status all throughout the process via email.
