Student Teaching Applications

Candidates must submit a Student Teaching Application during the semester prior to the one in which they wish to student teach. 

Traditional Program
Students in the Traditional Multiple Subject, Single Subject and Education Specialist credential programs can follow the corresponding link below and print an application
ACT ACT candidates do not need to complete a Student Teaching Application. 
ITEP ITEP Multiple Subject candidates are required to attend an ITEP Student Teaching Orientation Meeting. ITEP Education Specialist candidates DO NOT need to attend the orientation meeting, fill out and submit the application listed below.
Intern Intern candidates obtain the application through the appropriate Intern Coordinator. 
FYI & JYI FYI and JYI candidates can follow the corresponding link below and print an application

 

PRIORITY SUBMISSION DEADLINES:    OCTOBER 20 (FOR SPRING)       MARCH 20 (FOR FALL)

 

If all exams and/or prerequisite courses are already passed, you will be found eligible for student teaching.  If exams and/or prerequisite courses are in progress during the semester of application you will be found eligible when courses are successfully completed and exams are passed.

If you were admitted under Exceptional Admission because of GPA, you are not eligible to student teach until you have completed one semester of post-admission coursework. 

Along with your Student Teaching Application, please submit verification of all prerequisites or program conditions that are not already on file in the Credential Office.   All conditional coursework in progress during the semester of application will be verified for completion by the Credential Office.  Notification of the application status will be sent to your CSUN email address.
