Preparing Asian Bilingual Teachers Project
Purpose
To provide financial support to Asian bilingual teaching credential students of Chinese, Filipino, Hmong, Korean, and Vietnamese backgrounds for their credential coursework at 11 California State Universities with Asian bilingual teacher education programs in place (i.e., CSUN, CSU Fresno, CSU Fullerton, CSU Los Angeles, CSU Long Beach, CSU Pomona, San Diego State University, San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, CSU Sacramento, CSU Stanislaus), and MA students in Multicultural and Multilingual Education at CSUN.
Students who receive financial support from this project will also receive additional training in the effective use of instructional technology and multicultural education to become instructional leaders in multicultural and multilingual public schools of California.
