Economics Forms FAQs

When do I apply for graduation online?

You will have access to the Online Graduation Application via your Solar Student Center once you have declared a major and completed 90 units (including work-in-progress) or approximately one year prior to your planned graduation date. At least one semester of work must be completed in residence at CSUN before Undergraduate Degree Services can complete your graduation evaluation.

You MUST schedule an appointment with an advisor in the Student Services Center and EOP Satellite to clear your Advisement Hold and bring your most current Degree Progress Report/Planner (.pdf). For an appointment, call (818) 677-3537. For detailed information, please visit the Student Services Center and EOP Satellite.

For more information on applying for graduation, see Your Path to Graduation.

How do I apply for graduation after the online application deadline?

You will need to fill out and submit 2 documents to the Student Services Center and EOP Satellite in Bookstein Hall (BB) 2113 or nazariancollegeadvisement@csun.edu; they are the Graduation Application (.pdf) and your Degree Progress Report/Planner (.pdf).

While an appointment is not necessary, you may schedule an appointment by calling (818) 677-3537.  Please allow up to 5 business days for processing. Once approved and signed, an email will be sent to your CSUN email address to let you know that the application packet is ready for pick-up or if there are errors in your packet. You may pick up your graduation application packet or correct any errors in the office during regular business hours. The application is valid for 30 days, and must be submitted to Admissions & Records with the associated processing fee.

Will my course transfer?

To find out if a course you've taken at another institution will transfer to CSUN and meet CSUN requirements in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, please fill out a Course Substitution-Waiver form. Send an email from your CSUN email account with the Subject Line "Course Substitution Request" to the appropriate department chair with: (1) a completed substitution/waiver form (.pdf), (2) a current Degree Progress Report/Planner (.pdf), and (3) supporting documents (i.e. course descriptions and/or syllabus, etc.) as attachments. A scanner is available for student use in computer lab Bookstein Hall (BB) 2129.

Once approved, we will send an email to your CSUN email address.

Complete instructions outlined here: http://www.csun.edu/cobaessc/subwaiver

Note: you will need to do this twice if you've changed your major or if you first sent the substitution form while the course was in progress, and have since earned an official grade.
