Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Homepage at California State University Northridge.
The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers a Bachelor of
Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering, B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a
Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering. The programs in Electrical
Engineering offer students an opportunity to specialize in one of seven areas:
Biomedical Engineering, Communication Systems Engineering, Control Systems,
Digital System Design, Electronics and Solid State Engineering, Microwave and
Antenna Engineering and Electrical Power Systems.
The department has state of the art laboratories that enhances learning and
hands on experience. The IEEE student chapter plays a key role in providing an
extensive network of information and social interaction for our students. The
department provides ample facilities for project development building and
testing with several computer laboratories and full versions of software
packages that are used in industry. Therefore, our students acquire an
invaluable education and knowledge in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The department has 17 full time faculty members, approximately 450 undergraduate students and 150 graduate students. Our Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).
