Facilitated by: Kristina de la Vega, Associate Vice President, Human Resources -
For MPPs Only

Employee SuccessOne of the most important responsibilities is the ability to provide comprehensive performance feedback through coaching and counseling. We will discuss how to best conduct an effective discussion when faced with performance concerns as well as ongoing coaching and support through consistent, honest feedback throughout the year to employees who need to improve their performance.  Unfortunately, there are those rare instances when the desired improvement does not occur.  This training will focus additionally on the difficult task of taking corrective action when appropriate to address performance concerns through the progressive discipline process as well as employee’s rights through the grievance system, the Skelly process, and the State Personnel Board appeal process.
