Understanding Exempt and Non-Exempt Status - For MPPs

Job classifications are determined to be either exempt or non-exempt based upon State and Federal definitions and “exemption tests." A job’s non-exempt/exempt status may impact:  rest periods, meal periods, overtime/compensatory time off (CTO), additional appointments (CSU 125% rule policy), travel, and time/absence reporting practices. Workshop time frame: 1.5 hours; target audience is for Management (MPP Administrators) only.
