Less Reliant on State Funding

There are risks in all aspects of the campus environment. Internal controls are the business practices, policies or procedures that help to minimize risk. This session will provide you with a foundation of risk and internal controls by understanding how they impact our daily lives as well as our work on campus.

By attending this session, you will:

  • Be able to more readily identify business risks within your department;
  • Learn about the importance of internal controls in all of our jobs at CSUN;
  • Be better prepared for potential audits of your department; and
  • Learn the “red flags” of fraud.
