This workshop is for Management Personnel Plan (MPP) employees only.

To truly offer our students and other constituents quality service, we need to make the time to continually assess our practices and ensure that they effectively and efficiently work cohesively and meet our intended objectives.  Dr. Gandhi will help you understand what lean process management entails, and offer up the opportunity for his students to analyze and develop suggestions on correcting weaknesses or problems in your operation. This is an exceptional opportunity to improve an operation in your area while providing valuable experience to students.

In the first session of this two-part session, join Dr. Jimmy Gandhi for a discussion of what lean process management is and how you can you can incorporate it into your area and maximize your operations effectiveness. You’ll have the basic tools to identify a process in your operation that results in problems or undesired levels of service to your constituents.

Then, join Dr. Gandhi for the second part of this series (October 12, 2017) to provide him with an overview of the problem(s) you’ve identified in your operation.  What is the purpose, the process, and who or how are your staff involved?  Dr. Gandhi will intake problems and dependent upon the scope of the project, may assign and guide students in his upper-level courses to analyze and develop suggestions to address concerns in your scenario.

Toward the end of the semester, Dr. Gandhi and his students will present back their findings to you.
