COMPUTER LABS


Lab Location, Type & Capacities:

CR5329 - Dual Boot: Windows/Linux - 39 stations (including 1 instructor machine)
CS3320 - Windows - 21 stations (Instructor machine not available)
EH2223 - Dual Boot: Windows/Linux - 29 stations (including 1 instructor machine)
CR5427 - Mac OS X/Windows XP - 44 stations (including 1 instructor machine)


In addition to the computer labs in each department in the CSM, currently there are two open labs for all the students:

PC Lab I
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Eucalyptus Hall 2223 (2nd floor)

This is a new open lab which provides faculty and students with the option of dual booting either to LINUX or Windows. This lab is powered by 28 Dell Studio One 19 all-in-one desktop computers that fits both the tower and monitor into a stunning, space-saving design with one-cable setup with substantially fewer cords and wires

Software's Installed: Bioedit, Ecological Methodology, MEGA4, CS Chem Office, Amaseis, Google Earth, SPSS 16.0, MATLAB, MAthematica, ASCOM, Starry Night Pro, Broderbund, and other scientific and simulations software; and standard productivity software/tools.

Configuration: Intel® Core™2 Duo E7400/2.8GHz,3MB Wolfdale, 65W Processor, 20” E2009WF Flat Panel Monitor, 2GB of RAM, 250GB Hard Disk Drive, DVD RW, 6 USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet.
