Campus & Community Connections: Conversations for Change is designed to foster collaboration between Cal State Northridge faculty, students and staff and non-profit, faith-based, and government organizations and schools in its region. Cal State Northridge has a proud tradition of student service through volunteerism, service-learning, internships, field work, community-based research and other creative methods of helping students learn while they address the needs of our community.
At CSUN we believe that community service helps students gain further understanding of academic material, a broader appreciation of their world, and an enhanced sense of civic responsibility. We hope today's conference will help all those who attend to maximize the effectiveness of existing campus/community partnerships and start new ones.
