Previously the National Director of Attorneys and Client Services with the Cochran Firm Criminal Defense Section, Tony is now the Managing Director/President of America’s Criminal Defense Group.
Tony and his wife, Christine, are unique in their service to their Alma Mater. In the University’s 50-year history, they stand alone as the only spouses to have both served as President of the Alumni Association and as officers and members of the Cal State Northridge Foundation Executive Committee and Board of Directors. In 2005, they both received the Dorothea "Granny" Heitz Award for Outstanding Volunteer Leadership in recognition of their service to CSUN.
Tony joined the Alumni Association Board in 1983 and within a year was elected to Senior Vice President and created a committee to honor, highlight and connect “VIP Alumni” back to the University through a series of Distinguished Alumni Receptions and profiles in Insight, the university newsletter at the time. In spring 1985 Tony began his term as President of the Alumni Association. Among his accomplishments were new scholarships and greater alumni benefits including group insurance for alumni.
At the time of his presidency, Tony also began a 16-year tenure as a member of the Foundation Board of Directors, where he served several years as a member of the Development and Nominating Committee. He is one of only a few individuals who is honored with emeriti status on the Foundation Board.
Together and individually, Tony and Chris have expressed their loyalty to their alma mater and have done so with great passion. The proud parents of two children, their legacy of involvement continues with their daughter, Kelsey, who is a current student at CSUN. Kelsey was recently elected VP of Finance for the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
