The Honorable Dana Senit Henry, CSUN Class of 1969, has a long and distinguished career in the law. She served as a municipal court judge from 1979 to 1983 and Judge of the Superior Court, 1983 to 1992. After leaving the Superior Court she served on assignment as a Judicial Officer by the Administrative Office of the Courts under the direction of the Chief Justice of California. She has also served as an independent Mediator for the EEOC, Alternative Dispute Unit. Judge Henry currently serves as a mediator and arbitrator in California, Nevada and Utah. Her work expands many fields with emphases in the Family Law and Employment arenas. Judge Henry is well known for her ability to work in complex emotional matters surrounding child custody disputes and workplace issues.
Judge Henry, a member of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Ambassadors, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cal State Northridge, and her J.D. from the University of San Diego. She has served on many commissions including the Consolidation Commission, City and County of Los Angeles, the Board of Fires Commission, Los Angeles and the Emergency Preparedness Commission. Her many honors and awards include the National Humanitarian Award, the American-Israel Fellowship Society 1990 Community Service Award, the Certificate of Appreciation, Los Angeles County Commission on the Status of Women and Award for Service, Los Angeles City Fire Department.
